if wife refuses to keep home-what recourse does husband have

couple only married on paper 8 yrs-lived to gether 6.5-her name is on the deed and mortgage-husband only on the deed-he gave he the house-she just refused-he does not want it-fears she will now try to cost him his job- no kids and this divorced has been dragged on by her for 1.5 years any advice
Looks like really a complicated situation. You really need legal advise than fincial here.

Hi littlemickey,

What I understand of the situation is that the husband wants to sign over the property to the wife. But the wife refuses to take the full ownership of the house. Right? Well, you cannot force her to accept the full ownership if she does not want it. But I think you can file a partition lawsuit in court and force a sale of the property.

geni is right - a lawyer needs to help here.

jenkin seems to have hit the nail on the head also...the home needs to be sold to eliminate all the rest of this mess.
