My grandparents name is still on the house. there was a will my mother wants to put the house in me and my sister name she is still paying the taxes on the house but we can't put insurance on the house because our names need to be on the deed cna someone please help me and point me in the right direction on what we need to do and is it costly. the house is located in Texas
Welcome Guest,

Your mother will have to probate the will and get the property transferred in her name. Then she can use a quitclaim deed and transfer the property to you and your sister.

Hi Guest,

I'm not sure about the probate expenses in Texas. In my opinion, it will be a better option to contact an attorney and take his suggestions in this regard. The attorney will be the best person to give you an idea about the probate expenses.

Thanks
