For the last 20 plus years my father, one of four other siblings, has been paying taxes on property in a small town named after his ancestors called, Perrytown.
None of the other relatives ever inquired about or offered to pay any money for the up keep of property that my father's father lived on with his 2nd wife for many years, both are not deceased.
My father is 88 yrs old now and the only living sibling. How does he get a clear deed to this property that is still in the name of his grandfathers wife, Beddie Perry? My father no longer feels up to maintaining this property.
Awaiting your reply,

Welcome junettar,
You have mentioned that your father's father and his second wife are not deceased and the property is in the name of your father's grandmother - Beddie Perry. In that case, your father's father will have to get the property transferred in his name by filing an affidavit of heirship. Then he can transfer the property to your father's name with the help of a quitclaim deed.
