I want to be taken off my parents deed to their paid for house. The deed is in mine and sibblings names. There are problems where one does not want to sell the house. I just want out of the whole mess.
Hi Jan,

You can sign a quitclaim deed and transfer your share of the property to your other siblings. This will help you in getting out of the whole mess.

Thanks

Hello Jan,

One also needs to know if the lender requires the property owner to provide a quitclaim before it provides refinancing to pay off the contract. A quitclaim is a deed which warrants that the owner is letting go of some or all claim that he or she is entitled on the property.
