can you add a person to the deeds of a house-if so what does this represent in the case of a break-up-with the two people sharing that house, if only one persons name is on the morgage. however you both share the expenses
Hi ricco,
A person's name can be added to the property deed with the help of a quitclaim deed. After a break up, the person whose name on the mortgage will be liable for paying the mortgage dues whereas both the persons will be the owners of the property.
Thanks
