what is the legal document that shows I have a clear title on my house? and Where can I get it for cheap?
Hi tonnaruk,
If you have a quit claim deed or a warranty deed mentioning your name as the grantee to the property then it means that you own the property. You can go for a title check in order to find out whether or not there are any liens on the property. You can contact an attorney and get a deed drafted from him.
Thanks,
Jerry

Can I write a paper to confirm that I don't have any lien on my house instead? Is that acceptable legal document?
thanks
thanks
Hi tonnaruk,
I don't think that a simple writing on a paper will be considered as a legal document in this regard. Whoever buys the property will want to confirm the details from the county recorder's office.
