If a wife wants to add her husband to a title, she is the grantor in a quitclaim deed, but are both she and her husband the grantees?
you would go down to the title company (any of them) and inquire about getting this done. if he is not on the loan and you want him to be on the loan, too (best idea, i think), you would need to refinance. explore the differences between the wording of you and your husband's name, wife and husband, with right of survivorship and so on. you would want wording that he could not mortgage or sell your home without your signature.

Hi rockgoose,
Yes, you are absolutely correct. The wife should write her name in the blank space beside grantor. However, both her name as well as her husband's name should be written in place of grantees. Once this is done, both will be considered as the owner of the property.
