My grandmother passed away. She owned a home and it was fully paid for. After probate, the attorney had a special warranty deed issued to my mother and her four siblings, they inherited the house. However the special warranty deed was issued with the incorrect address to the property, and mailed to the wrong location after being registered? How does one correct the deed. The lawyer said they have to go back to the probate court to get it corrected? And is the specialty deed proper?
Hi joebobmags,
I don't think it is incorrect to use a special warranty deed. However, as far as the wrong address is concerned, you will have to follow what you attorney has said. You will have to contact the court and get the address corrected.
Thanks
