I am trying to understand a property transfer in MO that is called an "Inter Family Transfer". This is the way the property records are listed, but I am confused.
The owner, let's call her Carolyn Equine, has transferred the property from herself to Carolyn Equine and Buddy Bovine. She and Buddy Bovine are not related.
How can one do an "Inter Family Transfer" to a person not related to them?
This is an urgent matter. Please respond asap.

Hi Guest,
Inter-family transfers normally take place between family members. If you feel that there has been any kind of fraud or scam associated with the property transfer, then you may consider taking legal actions.
Thanks

Thank you for such a quick response. Is there some sort of legal definition I can document for my attorney on "Inter-Family Transfer". I know it is obvious, but I want to go to them with something in hand.
From what I can see in CA (I am interested in MO), there is actually a "Documentation of Inter-Family Transfer" that must be filed, evidently to have deed transferred. I have yet to find such a document from MO.
From searching online, I have seen nothing that allows a boyfriend to be considered a family member in regards to an Inter-Family Transfer.
Thank you for your help. My future at stake and this is one tiny piece of the puzzle.

Hi Guest,
Selling or gifting property to a family member is known as inter-family transfer. You will have to contact an attorney well versed with the real estate laws of MO and he might be able to help you in this regard.
Thanks
