Interspousal Transfer deed

Hi, Will I still be liable for anything on the house after I sign a Interspousal Transfer deed. If the payments are not made or late will they affect me in any way?

hi gb,

an inter-spousal transfer deed will only remove your name from the property deed but it won't remove your name from the mortgage. your spouse will have to refinance the mortgage in order to remove your name from the mortgage.
