my wife died six months ago, and we had bought our house under joint tenants and there is no probate schedule. The Hall of records, has now recorded my wife's death certificate. My question is, what form do I use to transfer title (Grant Deed?) as sole proprietor?
Hi rsantos!
Welcome to forums!
You can file an affidavit of heirship and get the property transferred in your name. You will have to contact the county recorder for this.

Hi Sussane:
Thank you for your response, but I believe that this "affidavit of heirship" is for the County Clerks' office. At the Hall of Records they had insinuated that I need a document that transfers title On the grant deed as sole owner. Something like AFFIDAVIT OF SURVIVING SPOUSE
TO COMMUNITY PROPERTY...But it does not reflect the transfer of ownership from a Husband and Wife as Joint Tenant. Although I will be going to the County Clerks office today. I live in Fresno, California, forgot to mention in the last message.
The affidaivt of Heirship is a third person accounts of events. Not one signed by me
Thank you,
Ricardo

Hi Ricardo,
I would suggest you to contact a real estate attorney in this regard. He will the best to help you know what type of form you would need in this case.
Thanks
