We have just recently been through Loan Modification and now we're getting a divorce. In order to save our credit from further damage, I'd like to keep the house, but my soon-to-be ex-husband wants his name off of the mortgage.
I plan on having roommates to help make the payments, but I doubt I will be able to re-finance with my income alone. Will it still be possible to stay in my home?

Hi,
As per my knowledge re-financing depends on the lenders. The lender will check your credit score, source of income and credit history before approving the re-finance. Speak with your lender regarding this. Regarding re-finance, as your husband told you to remove his name from the mortgage, there will be no problem in that, however, it needs to be approved by your lender.
