I had moved in to my boyfriends housein 2001 that is owned by him and his parents and his brother. This house was first morgaged to him and his first wife, but due to divorce, his parents paid equtiy to his ex wife so their son can stay with the house. due to this agreedment between ex wife and boyfriends parents and brother, now the deed has 4names on it, and my boyfriend will conintue to make payemnts to the bank . after 7years me living with my boyfried, we got married!. then after 2yrs my husband requested to have his name taken off the deed, due to his farther allways throwing in his face all the bailouts he has done for his son. This was done witout me knowing!! I had found out only about a 3weeks ago! and now that his parents and brother have full deed, Now his farther wants to have me sign a lease for rent!.My question is .. is this legal? and do I have rights.. ?

If your name was not on the property deed, then you don't have legal rights to the property. In that case, you father-in-law can ask you to sign a lease for rent agreement with him.

You may have a community property interest in the property for the 2 years you were married. Check with a local real estate attorney.
