My wife and I are retired and want to put our daughter and son on our house's deed. How do we do this? We have a will made out leaving our estate evenly to both our daughter and son. Will our house be protected in case one of us have to go to an assisted living home?
Hi William G. Robbins,
To add your son and daughter to the property deed, you can use a quitclaim deed. The quitclaim deed forms are available online and you can also draft the deed form from an attorney. You will then have to record the deed at the county recorder's office. You can have a look at some of the sample quitclaim deed forms in the given link:

If you give away the property totally to your son and daughter it will be protected against any kind of claims.
Thanks
