My husband of 3 yrs is joint tennat w/ 2 brothers on another home. 1 brother lives in the home & has homestead in fl. the mortgage is in my husbands name only (brother can't get credit)
I've owned my home for 18 yrs no ins. claims EVER. Because we are married & living together my husband is also on my deed. Because the brother has BAD credit (has also ruined my husbands credit) the insurance for his home is also in my husbands name. Apparently the brother filed an insurance claim on his home now I get a notice that my homeowners ins. is being canceled due to false info on a c.l.u.e report. I have never done anything wrong and neither did my husband we have requested a dispute but it will be to late to save my insurance. Can we get the insurance on the brothers home out of my husbands name? This will probably end up in our getting divorced, please help, before this we could not have been any happier now I am miserable!
PLEASE HELP, what can we do?

I must say that you're in a tough situation. It will depend upon your insurance company whether or not they will allow your husband to remove his name from the brother's insurance policy.

The mortgage company will require insurance. Since the brother filed the false report, it should not stop you from getting insurance from another carrier.
