Loss of equity.

My wife purchased a condo as an investment, but I was the major depositor. She alone is on the loan docs. The property is now in foreclosure. I am not named as a defendant. How can I protect any equity that may be mine. Should I enter the suit. How?

You will have to contact an attorney and take his opinion in this regard. He will let you know if there are any steps to help you secure the equity in the property.

Hi JOETEE,

If your name is mentioned on the property deed, then you will be able to save as well as claim your share of the equity.
