Welcome Keith,
You need to check out whether or not ladybird deed is applicable in Florida. If yes, then as far as I know, it does not affect your chances of qualifying for a Medicaid. Nevertheless, you should contact an attorney who is well versed with the Medicaid guidelines and take his opinion in this matter.

Hi Keith,
If you draw up a ladybird deed now and transfer the property to someone else, you will not remain liable for the Medicaid benefits for the next 5 years. So, before you sign on the documents, you should understand the repercussions of your act.
Thanks

Medicaid rules are complicated and change quickly. Individual circumstances differ. Be sure to consult a knowledgeable attorney for help in formulating an asset protection plan.
