I live in a mobile home on my husbands parents farm, its been here for a long time probably 30 yrs. His sister put this mobile home here, her husband added on to it so tis half mobile and half house. Her husband run off and she ended up dying in 1994 and now we live here and don't know where tittle is or who's names it is in or do we have to get some kind of new tittle for add on? Can some one guide me in the right direction?
note that childen of your sister will be legal owner of property. if they do not have, you can be new owner by submitting death certificate of both along with affidevit of heirship in local country's office

Hi kmorgan,

You definitely need the title to prove your ownership to the property. Since you do not have the title with you, you need to get one issued in your name. As your husband's sister is deceased and her husband cannot be contacted, I think you can file an adverse possession lawsuit in court to have the title in your name. How long have you been living in that property? If you have been using the property for a certain period of time, as specified in your state laws, you can claim ownership to that property through adverse possession. I think you should consult an attorney to know if it can be applicable in your situation.
