I'm thinking about buying a handyman special mobile home, but the owner says they never had a title. So i was wondering if there was any way that we could apply for a new title, kinda like when you buy an old car with no title?? any help in this would be great.. $500 is all they want so it could go fast, I would like to take it if there is a way that I can have a title.

If the current owner of the mobile home does not hold a legal title to the property, how will he transfer the ownership to you? Contact the local office of the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) and check out if there's any record of the title to that home. If they have no clue about who holds the title, you should ask them if you can obtain a free and clear title in your name once you buy the property. If getting a new title in your name is possible, they should be able to guide you regarding how you can obtain the new title.
