My mom wants to transfer her home of 40 years to me. I want to know the best way for this to be implemented. The home has no mortgage or any other lien. Thanks.
Hi daleparker,
Welcome to the forum.
If there is "no mortgage or any other lien" then I should suggest you to use a Warranty deed in this case. As it is a family affair you can use a quitclaim deed but Warranty deed will assure you that the property is free from liens.
Feel free to ask if you have any further questions.
Best of luck,
Larry

daleparker,
Warranty deed is mostly used when you buy or sell home. One can use a grant deed for this purpose, provided your state approves such a deed. Where do you stay?
