Say one party put proceeds of his last house in at the closing; second party profferred nothing.
Second party wants to move, but is still staying in the house and not paying anything.
She wants $10,000! This can't be right.
Bought house in March, 2008.

Hi waverunner!
Welcome to forums!
Does the second party has her name mentioned on the property deed? If yes, then that party can claim a certain amount to leave the property and remove her name from the property deed. Though she had not contributed anything for the property, she can claim a certain amount to transfer the property to you.
Feel free to ask if you've further queries.
