The property that my grandmother left me, has her brothers names on the title also---they are all deceased. My grandmother was the last one to die and she willed the property to me. What do I need to do to have this title in my name, I am paying the taxes on the property. Please help I have no clue how to go about this.

thanks for your input.....
Hi yayakime!

Welcome to forums!

You will have to probate the will in order to get the property transferred in your name. You need to contact a real estate attorney and he will help you in this process.

Feel free to ask if you've further queries.

Hello yayakime,

The title company will require that your children take the Will to a judge and have the court sign an order that transfers title from you to your children. Eventually or one to two years later, the judge will sign the requested order.

Sussane had the right answer - Sabrina didn't ... Sabrina's answer didn't make any sense.
