I'm currently on the title of my house but not the mortgage. My husband and I just divorced am I entitled to equity in the house. Since I want my name off the deed?
Hi Lucy,
If your name is mentioned on the property deed, then you can claim a part of the equity from that property. If the property is sold off by your husband, then he will be liable to pay your share of the equity to you.

Hi Lucy!
Welcome to the forums!
Yes, Adonis is right. So, you should make sure that before you remove your name from the property deed, you should claim your share of the equity.
Feel free to ask if you've further queries.
