My husband has died and had no will, he was paying on a trailer house that was in his name only. There are ten children, but I want to get the loan put into my name and try to continue to pay on property.The Grantor has no problem with this Do I file Affidavit of Heirship? Can someone please help as I must have this done wiothin the next ten days. Thanks, Lorna

You can ask the grantor to sign a quit claim deed and transfer the property to you. Once this is done, you will be considered as the owner of the property and then you can refinance the mortgage and become liable for the payments.
