my ex wants me to sign to take name off deed but name still on mortgage is this a good thing or not.
in most mortgage loan docs is a clause that if ownership of the property changes, that the lender can call the note due immediately. what is the reason ex wants name off title? your best option is to have the ex refinance the home solely in their name. good luck

Hi JLU,

If your name remains in the mortgage docs and not on the property deed, then you will be liable for the mortgage payments even though you don't remain the owner of the property. This will become quite risky for you!
