Deed on home

Posted on: 26th May, 2009 09:01 pm
What can I do? Currently my name is on the deed of the home
Along with my brother & mom, joint tenants. I am not on the
Loan. How can I get my name off, and give my property rights
to them? :?
You can definately remove your name from deed.
For that you should fill an Affidavit of Heirship at the County Recorder's office.

Hi Guest,

Sunil is wrong in saying that you need to file an affidavit of heirship to remove your name. As your name is not on the loan, you can simply sign a quitclaim deed and transfer your portion of the property to your mother and brother.

Thanks
