my grandfather left me in his will and passed away in 2001 but nobody told me. he made his wife the personal representative and the will hasn\'t been probated. his wife is in her 90\'s and lives with my uncle bob who hates me and he\'s in fla and i\'m in ky. long story but my question is how can i find out if the will was carried out to all listed in the will and if my uncle bob can keep me from getting what my grandfather put me down for?
I think it will be better if you talk to an attorney. Explain him your situation. That will surely help you.
Hello Sylvroa,
I think you can talk to your grandfather's attorney to find out if the will was executed.
You also have to find whether the will was changed or not. Though the executor cannot change the will but sometimes an executor may have the 'power of appointment' which allows her to change the beneficiaries.
