my father didnt have a will when he passed and left me everything.his property is out of state.do i need to have a probate done.?what do i need to do or file inorder to have his property transferred to my name.
Hi Bigredz,

Welcome to the forum.

Dying without a will refers to dying "intestate". I think as your father has died without a will the property will be distributed among the heirs according to the intestacy laws in your province. As you don't have a will the property distribution may delay a bit. So I think you should contact with an attorney ASAP.

Feel free to ask if you have any further questions.

Best of luck,
Larry
