property is paid in full under parents name, parents are deceased, want to change the owner ship to childs name whom will reside in the home
Hi staceywilhite,
If the parents died having left a will, the property will go through the probate before it passes onto the heirs. But if there is no will, the child needs to file an Affidavit of Heirship with a probate court so the title of the property is changed in his/her name.
Thanks,
Jerry

You need to consult an attorney provide the death certificate and put it through probate court.
