I inherited 2 properties. I went to a lawyer to get them put in my name. What I got was a Personal Representatives deed for both properties. The estate is still in probate. Are Personal Representatives Deeds only good during probate? Will I need to get another kind of deed after probate is over?
Welcome dcross,
Once the probate is over, you'll have to record the will at the county recorder's office. Once this is done, you'll be able to get the property transferred in your name.
