My grandparents own their home.my grandmother was diagnosed with alzymers. my grandfather takes care of her. if my grandfather passes before she does, will she be protected or will the state find her incompatant to make decisions and take all assets? or should we add my father to the deed to protect their home?
Hi yanieto,
It's better to add your father to the title to the property. In case your grandfather passes away and the property is inherited by your ailing grandmother, any decision she takes might be considered lgally void. Thus, to avoid any such situation in future it is better to have your father on the deed so he can take legally valid decisions prertaining to the property.
