You should check out the documents carefully in order to find out whether or not you're liable for the mortgage payments. If you're liable for the payments, then don't transfer the property to your husband. If you do so, you may not remain the owner of the property but you will be liable for the mortgage payments.

That's a tricky one. Be very careful before signing anything and you should read out the papers thoroughly. In case, you are directly or indirectly responsible for making loan payments then you should think twice before signing because if your husband fails to make payments then the mortgage company will come after you also.
