my mother passed and left me the house i was very young and let my oldest sister move in, now she is talking about refinancing the house! is it my house?
Hello - If she left you the house it sounds like it should be your house. Was there a will that specified it to be yours?

who is on the deed? if you are on the deed then you are the owner of the property. is your sister also on the deed? if not then she cannot refinance. to be able to refinance the mortgage she should be the owner of the property. btw who is paying the mortgage payments now? and why does your sister wants to refinance?
