Release of Lien

I just received a release of lein on my property from the mortgage company.....The house is going to sherriff sale in 2 weeks....What does this release of lein by the mortgage company mean? They said they are recording it with the county office.

Release of liens means that the property is free and clear and that you don't owe anything on that property.

I am looking to get a lein release on. My deceased fathers manufactured home that has been paid off for years...Security Pacific finance has sold out to Bank of America.... thw DMV gave me a p.o.box address and it was IN. INDIANA....THEY ARE NO LONGER. IN BUSINESS AND IM SELLING THE HOME....IM AT A LOSS AND NEED HELP ASAP....DONT KNOW WHY. THERE IS A LEIN ON IT....BEFORE HE PASSED WE WENT THROUGH. THE TITLES HE HAD AND THAT TITLE WAS NOT THERE. HE DID RECIEVE THE TITLE AND MISPLACD IT OR THE POA HAS TAKEN IT AND WONT GIVE IT TO US....IM IN DIRE NEED OF HELP! THANK YOU FOR ANY OUTPUT GIVEN
