Quick claim deed

I remarried and relocated to another state. My husband had bought our house before we married. I'm wanting to safeguard myself until we have a will done. Will a quickclaim deed work? We both have children from previous marriages and I don't want a fight on my hands for either or us if something were to happpen to one of us.
Hi KS!

Welcome to Forums!

Yes, you can add your name to the property by the help of a quitclaim deed. However, it will not transfer any kind of mortgage in your name.

Feel free to ask if you have further queries.

A quitclaim deed will be the best option for you to add your name to the title of the property.
