My husbands aunt wants to leave her house to my husband when she passes away but when her and her now deceased husband bought the house she is now living in she was not put on the deed of the house. How can we remove her dead husband from the deed and put the house in her name so that her wishes of leaving the house to my husband can be done
Hi marysasser,

Your husband's aunt will have to file an affidavit of heirship and transfer the property in her name. Once the property is transferred to her name, she would be able to sign a quit claim deed and add your husband to the deed. Or else, she can draft a will and declare your husband as the beneficiary.

Thanks
