Can I remove name from a Deed or Title

Posted on: 28th Jun, 2009 07:03 pm
My wife and I bought a home five years ago and both names are on the mortgage and Deed(Title). Can I remove my name from the Title but stay on the mortgage? If so, How do I go about doing it?
It is very simple just quitclaim the property to your wife.youwill still be on the mortgage and your wife will be on the deed.

Hi Guest!

Welcome to forums!

You can sign a quitclaim deed and remove your name from the property deed. This will not remove your name from the mortgage.

Feel free to ask if you've further queries.

quit claim deed is the right option. i think your lender will also not raise any objection as her name as well is on mortgage.
