Mother in Law,passed away, her children and boyfriend, are on the deed.Boyfriend, has since moved out,how can we file to have boyfriend removed from deed.Wouls he be allowed to move his new girlfriend, and kids in?
Generally, you cannot remove someone from title to real property without their consent. Possession among multiple owners is determined by agreement. The non-possessory owner may demand rent from the owners in possession. If multiple owners can't agree they can sell the property and divide the proceeds, or go to court and force a sale (called a "partition").
