Divorce

Hello. My mom and dad have gotten divorced and the house was in my dads name. My mom would like to get the house signed over to her because she is still living there and get his name taken off the deed. How do we go about doing that? Is it possible since they are divorced? My moms name was never on the deed originally. I printed out the form to fill out, but once it is filled out, what does she need to do? :)
You proceed the Affidavit of Survivorship document.

hi zoey,

your father needs to sign a quit claim deed and transfer the property back to your mother. once he does so, your mother will become the sole owner of the property. after your father signs a quit claim deed, your mother needs to notarize and record the deed at the county recorder's office.

thanks
