REGARDING TRANSFER OF PROPERTY

Posted on: 09th Jul, 2009 05:24 am
hi, i am living in a joint family. My mother in law has 2 sons and she is residing at ground floor with elder brother. Ground floor is in my mothers name.We live at 1 floor, that too is in my husbands brothers name .i just want to ask a question how can this property transfer in my familys name?
Hi mini!

Welcome to forums!

Your mother-in-law and your husband's elder brother will have to transfer the property in your husband's name. They can sign a quitclaim deed and transfer it to your husband. Then your husband can notarize and record the deed at the county recorder's office.

Feel free to ask if you've further queries.
