Removing my name from the title of the loan

Posted on: 08th May, 2009 08:58 am
My husband and I are getting separated. We would like to remove my name from the title, and he will take full financial responsibility of the property. I would like to leave the property. I would also like to purchase another house in my name. Would it be possible to purchase a new home if I sign a quit claim and my name is removed form the title/note?
hi lms7831,

welcome to our forum.

are you divorced ? if you have divorce deed then you can refinance your mortgage by using quite claim deed. that mean to remove your name from loan you can provide document to company & remove your name from deed by using quite claim deed.

thanks & regards.

if you can accomplish all that you wish - especially the changeover on the loan then you ought to be able to move forward with your plan to make another purchase.
