My son helped us purchase a home with his credit and is now ready to move on and start a family. He would like to remove his name from the loan so that he will be able to purchase a home for himself. Will he be able to remove his name from this loan. He does not make payments on this house.

you will have to contact the lender and apply for a refinance. once you refinance the loan in your name, your son's name will be removed from mortgage docs. thus, he will be able to buy a new home and take out a mortgage in his name.
