I recently found out that I have liens on my property. I put another person on the deed, I thought, as the automatic heir.
He has no rights to the property until my death. This was just to avoid probate.
Now, there are tax liens on my property but nobody notified me at all about even the possibility of lien being place against my property.
Other than taking the person's name off the deed, what can I do about the liens.
Should I have had some knowledeg about the situation since I am the owner?

Hi granny,
In order to place a lien on your property, the concerned authority (the tax department here) will have to file a lawsuit. For that reason, they will have to file a lawsuit. In such a case, you should receive summons from the court. It is strange that you did not receive any summons from the court. If the liens are already placed in the property, then you will have to pay them off in order to remove them from the property.

Hi granny,
As Adonis has said, it will be better if you could pay off the tax liens in order to remove it from your property. You can set up a payment plan with the tax department in order to pay off the tax liens.
Thanks
