reversing/voiding grand deed

Posted on: 12th Oct, 2009 06:41 am
I had a property in California that I agreed to issue grant deed to my brother and my sister. They are offering to help me with this home property which mortgage I haven't paid for several months.

When I submitted the grant deed to Sacramento, they mailed it back saying my grant deed was incomplete and could not be recorded. During then, I decided to just foreclose the property and not go through with the grant deed, ie. not return it back to Sacramento. Now after several months, I see that the grant deed was indeed recorded. Now my brothers and sisters are mad at me.

Can this grant deed be reversed or voided? thank you.
Hi mulingtapang!

Welcome to forums!

If the grant deed was recorded, then it will be considered as valid. In order to get back the property in your name, you'll have to ask your siblings to sign the deed back to you.

Feel free to ask if you've further queries.
