Hello,
Our Grant Deed reads as follows. Mary G. Smith grant to Mark B. Smith and Roger L. Smith and Kimberly J. Smith as Joint Tenants all that real property in the city of Sacramento. Is Joint Tenants alone sufficient, or should it read Joint Tenants with rights of Survivor-ship, or JTWROS etc? Just curious should I redo it to read one of the latter. My understanding is that "Joint Tenants" stated, automatically creates rights of survivor-shop. Please advise.
Thanks,
Mark

Hi marineropr!
Welcome to forums!
Joint tenancy with rights of survivorship will be a better form of ownership as after the death of one of the owners, the other owners can automatically get the property. The heirs of the deceased owners will not be able to claim the property.
Feel free to ask if you've further queries.
