rights to ownership for person added to deed

Posted on: 04th Nov, 2008 09:32 am
I own the home, and I added my significant other. We have since broken up and he refuses to quit claim off my property. I'm the mortgage holder. What rights does he have as far as my home is concerned? Can he tell me who to rent too?
guest, you gave your significant other ownership rights. all the rights you have are equivalent to the rights he has. you need to amicably discuss your mutual desires to come to resolution.

Hi Guest!

Welcome to forums!

Your significant other has similar rights as you have in relation to the home. He can definitely have a say in every decision that you take for the home. You can discuss the issue amongst yourself as George has mentioned and resolve it.

Feel free to ask if you have further queries.

Hi calvin!

Welcome to forums!

It's been quite a long time that the court had ordered the eviction. I don't think it is possible for you to reclaim the home. However, you can contact an attorney and take his opinion in this regard.
