I am 1 of 2 listings agents on a house that has to be sold as part of a divorce. My client pays the mortgage and does not have occupancy. His ex occupies and scares away buyers. What can we do?
Welcome Alessandra,
Has your client or the seller filed a Partition Lawsuit? I'm asking this because he doesn't occupy the house but is trying to sell it. I hope his name is on the deed.
By the way, is the ex on the deed? If the ex continues with this behavior, it'll get difficult for you to sell. I suppose he/she should be given a legal warning for interfering in the sale in this manner. Only then I suppose he/she will refrain from doing so.

You need to have your client go to divorce court and get an order from the judge to enforce the divorce judgment.
