My husband and I have a house together, however the house is in my name and the mortgage is in both names. Am I able to sell our home or do I need his permission.
if you are the sole owner, you have the right to dispose of the property in any way you wish.
that doesn't make it "correct" but it is your "right."

Thank you George

You bay be opening up a can of worms. Although there may be nothing that stops you from selling the home, you could face legal action from him afterwards.

and if you are opening that can in the home, be prepared for the odor!
LOL !! good one...and I imagine that within days of the sale, her husband will be here asking us what recourse HE HAS in fighting what has just happened.
eric, that makes me wonder how many times we have actually seen both sides of the coin. we continuously see posts from a spouse who's been "wronged" in some way, usually because the other spouse didn't pay his or her "half" of the payment. and then on occasion, we see a post that says "i lost my job and my spouse still thought i should pay half of the mortgage, and now i want to just get out of this obligation." could it be the same family?
which, of course, is what we've previously noted.
