I bought a house with my Dad, only me and my Dad's name is on the deed, the mortgage is in my Dads name. Me and my husband are splitting up we are selling the house, does he have any rights to the proceeds in NC?
Hi Sally!
Welcome to forums!
Your husband's name is not mentioned in the property deed. In that case, he won't have any ownership rights to that property. Thus, he won't be able to claim anything from the sale proceeds.
Feel free to ask if you've further queries.

Sussane, I hope you know something about North Carolina law.
Sally,
Get yourself to an attorney RIGHT NOW. Laws vary widely about property from state to state. You *cannot* assume that the first poster is correct. He *might* be entitle to half or more of it, depending on your specific circumstances.

Well put, Lisa
