Hello there... When my father died in 1997, he left three of us three properties in the will. My two sisters sold off their own properties and pocketed the profit. I maintained and lived in my property. Now the property is worth $2,65,000. My sisters are claiming that they have a share in my property. Is that true? What do I need to do?
If your property is solely in your name, then your sisters may not be able to claim any share from the sale proceeds.
Hi orangy,
I don't think your sisters can claim any share in your property. As per your father's will, the property was transferred in your name. Your sisters sold off their property. So, now they don't have any rights over your property.
Thanks
